TRAIG addresses the intersection of AI systems engineering, regulation, governance, and compliance. Its focus is technical and applied, distinguishing it from ethics and philosophy conferences by emphasizing methods, tools, architectures, and processes that enable AI systems to be auditable, transparent, and compliant with existing legal frameworks. Organizations will be required to demonstrate conformity, auditability, and transparency in their AI systems. This initiative also presents an opportunity for academic research to influence the development of AI.
